The capital of art and “art de vivre”
Take some time to explore the meandering streets and small squares to discover the Paris of Parisians !
We start our day with the typical open-air food market where colourful produce from every region of France is on display. In contrast, we then move to the ultra-modern Pompidou Centre to enjoy its architecture and the fabulous collection of innovative art.
In the Marais Quarter, once marshy land, we stop to see the beautiful Place des Vosges with contemporary art galleries under its vaulted roof, as well as the house of Victor Hugo, one of France’s most important literary figures.
Those looking for antiques and unique artefacts will enjoy a visit to a flea market of Clignancourt (open on weekends), the Village Suisse or Le Carré des Antiquaires. We then visit the Palais Royal, where Buren designed columns with unusual style, combining both traditional and modern elements.
To conclude this tour, we visit the Bastille area where you can relax in trendy bars or restaurants, see designer shops, or listen to classical music at the modern Opera Bastille.
